Privacy Notice

The short version

This site can use Google Analytics, and it asks first. Until you accept, nothing is loaded from Google, no cookie is set, and nothing is written to your browser’s storage. If you decline, the only thing kept is the fact that you declined, so you are not asked again on every page.

The other personal information the site handles is what you choose to type into the contact form.

Each app published by Ujvary Design has its own privacy policy, linked from that app’s page. Those apps collect nothing at all; this notice covers the website.

The contact form

If you send a message, the form passes your name, your email address and your message to the server, which sends them on as a single email to support@ujvary.hu.

They are not written to a database and not saved as files on the web server. What remains afterwards is the email itself, in the support mailbox, kept as long as it takes to answer you and for a reasonable period after that in case you write again.

Sending a message does not require accepting analytics, and the two are not connected to each other.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 runs on this site only if you accept it. The banner is the question; nothing from Google is fetched before you answer it, and nothing is fetched at all if you answer no.

If you accept, the following is recorded about your visit:

• which pages you open, and in what order;
• how far down a page you scroll, reported at a quarter, a half, three quarters and the end;
• how long the page was actually in front of you — time in a background tab does not count;
• links you follow to another site, email addresses you press, and files you download;
• which of the front page’s ways of moving around you used: dragging a satellite into the well, pressing one, or undocking to come back.

Google itself adds an approximate location, your device type, your browser, and where you arrived from. That location comes from your IP address, which Google Analytics uses and then discards rather than storing. Nothing here asks for your name or your email address, and nothing links this data to a message you send through the contact form.

Two cookies are set by Google when you accept: _ga and _ga_Y5KHL56WLQ. Both last two years and both hold a random identifier that says “this is the same browser as before” and nothing else about you.

The data goes to Google, which processes it outside the European Union as well as inside it, under the safeguards Google offers its analytics customers. It is kept for two months and then deleted. Google’s advertising features are not switched on for this site: the data is not used to build advertising audiences and is not shared for advertising.

What is stored on your device

Before you answer the banner: nothing.

If you decline: one entry in this browser’s local storage, recording that you declined. It is what stops the banner from asking again. There are no cookies.

If you accept: that same entry, plus Google’s two cookies above, plus one more local storage entry remembering which arrangement of the front page you last chose, so it opens the way you left it. That last one is a preference and nothing more: a single small number naming one of the arrangements, and nothing about you.

All of it belongs to this browser on this device. Clearing site data removes every one of them, and the banner asks again.

Spam protection

The form carries a field that is hidden from people and a check on how long the form took to fill in. Both look at the submission, not at you, and neither stores anything.

Server logs

Like most web servers, this one keeps an access log. Each entry records the IP address a request came from, the page it asked for, and the time. The hosting provider keeps those entries for 10 days and then deletes them.

That log is a function of running a server, not a measurement of you. It exists whether or not you accept analytics, it is separate from Google’s records, and no entry in it is connected to a message sent through the contact form.

Changing your mind

There is a control at the bottom of this page, and it works in both directions.

Turning analytics off stops anything further being sent, deletes Google’s two cookies, and forgets the front-page arrangement. Turning it on starts Google Analytics from that moment. Neither answer is remembered anywhere but on your own device, and neither is harder to reach than the other.

What is not here

There is no advertising, no advertising or social pixel, no share buttons, no embedded fonts loaded from another company, and no third-party script other than Google Analytics — which loads only after you accept. Nothing on this site follows you to another one.

Changes to this notice

If this site ever collects anything more, this page will say so before it does, and the date at the top will change.
